Add a colourful handmade touch to your home or celebration with this Easy Crochet Bunting Pattern!
Simple, fun and completely customisable, this crochet bunting is a lovely project for beginners. Make your bunting in any colours you like and as long or short as you need — simply crochet more triangle flags until you’ve reached your perfect length.
The sample uses red, white and blue, but you can choose any colour combination to suit your home, celebration or occasion.
-MATERIALS -
· 3.5mm crochet hook
· DK yarn in red, white and blue
· Darning needle and scissors
-ABBREVIATIONS-
· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)
· CH – Chain
· ST – Stitch
· SL ST – Slip stitch
· SK ST – Skip stitch
· SC – Single crochet
· HDC – Half double crochet
· DC – Double crochet
· SC2TOG – Single crochet two together
· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn
· FO- Fasten off
· T – Turn

Triangles – make with colour of choice.
1. CH2, 2SC into 2nd CH from hook, CH1, T {2}
2. 2SC into each ST, CH1, T (4)
3. SC across, CH1, T {4}
4. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC2, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {6}
5. SC across, CH1, T {6}
6. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC4, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {8}
7. SC across, CH1, T {8}
8. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC6, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {10}
9. SC across, CH1, T {10}
10. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC8, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {12}
11. SC across, CH1, T {12}
12. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC10, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {14}
13. SC across, CH1, T {14}

Joining the Triangles – with white yarn.
1. CH30
2. SC across the 22 stitches on top of your first triangle
3. CH20
4. SC across the 22 stitches on top of your 2nd triangle
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all your triangles are attached.
5. CH33, T
6. DC into the 4th CH from hook, DC across all chains and stitches on the garland.
Join and FO.
