Free Pumpkin Crochet Patterns With Written and Video Instructions.
These pumpkin's make great home décor pieces! they come in two different designs and can be made in any colour you like.
-MATERIALS -
· DK yarn in colour of choice
· 3.5mm crochet hook
· Embroidery needle and scissors
· Toy stuffing
-ABBREVIATIONS-
· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)
· CH – Chain
· ST – Stitch
· SL ST – Slip stitch
· SK ST – Skip stitch
· SC – Single crochet
· HDC – Half double crochet
· DC – Double crochet
· SC2TOG – Single crochet two together
· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn
· FO- Fasten off
· FLO – Front loops only
· BLO – Back loops only
· T – Turn

Pumpkin – make with colour of choice.
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}
2. 2SC into each ST around {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {18}
4. (SC2, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {24}
5. (SC3, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {30}
6. (SC4, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {36}
7. (SC5, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {42}
8-15. SC around {42}
16. (SC5, SC2TOG) 6 times {36}
17. (SC4, SC2TOG) 6 times {30}
18. (SC3, SC2TOG) 6 times {24}
19. (SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}
Stuff pumpkin.
20. (SC1, SC2TOG) 6 times {12}
Join and FO leaving a long yarn tail.
With tail close hole by picking up the front loop only of the remaining 12 stitches in order, then pull tight to close.
Make pumpkin ‘segments’ by wrapping the yarn tail around the pumpkin splitting it in half, pull tight to make indent and then sew a knot at the bottom of pumpkin. Wrap the yarn around the pumpkin twice more to make a total of 6 segments. Sew a knot into the bottom of pumpkin after each pass to secure.
Stem – make with colour of choice
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}
2-5. SC around {6}
Join and FO.
Sew into the top centre of pumpkin.
Leaves – make with colour of choice
1. CH6, SC into the 2nd CH from hook, 1HDC into the next 2 chains, 1DC into the next chain, 6DC into the last chain space, working down the opposite side of the foundation chain, 1DC into the next ST, 1HDC into the next 2 STS, 1SC into the last ST.
Join and FO.
Curly Leaves – make with colour of choice
1. CH13, 2SC into the 2nd CH from hook and all other chains across. {24}
Join and FO.
-PUMPKIN B-
Pumpkin – make with colour of choice.
1. CH16, SC into 2nd CH from hook and all other CH across, CH1, T {15}
2. IN BLO SC across, CH1, T {15}
3-27. Repeat row 2.
Hold the 2 shorter sides of the piece together and SC them together by inserting hook through consecutive stitches on both sides and completing a SC.
Join and FO leaving a long tail.
With tail weave the yarn in and out the bottom side stitch of all 27 rows, pull tight to close and weave in end.
Stuff Pumpkin.
On the opposite side of the pumpkin repeat row 30 to close hole.
Join and FO.
Repeat stem and leaves from pumpkin A.
