Light Switch Covers

These covers are the fastest and easiest way of adding a pop of colour to any room. I just LOVE them!! They can be made in any colour and really are super fun to make.
-MATERIALS-
· DK yarn in colour of choice
· 5.5mm crochet hook
-ABBREVIATIONS-
· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)
· CH – Chain
· ST – Stitch
· SL ST – Slip stitch
· SK ST – Skip stitch
· SC – Single crochet
· HDC – Half double crochet
· DC – Double crochet
· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn
· FO- Fasten off
· T – Turn

-CONSTRUCTION NOTES-
- Numbers written inside {} state the number of stitches at the end of round.
- Pattern written inside () should be repeated the number of times stated.
- Pattern written inside ** should be don’t into one stitch.
- Pattern is written using US Crochet terminology.
- Join new colour at the beginning of each round in a corner CH2 stitch,
-METHOD-
Switch Cover – make in colour of choice.
CH14, SL ST into the 1st CH to form a loop
CH2 (counts as HDC) HDC5 into loop, CH2, (DC5 into loop, CH2) repeat 3 times, SL ST into top of CH2 to join.
Join new colour in any corner CH2 stitch.
CH2, HDC2, CH2, HDC3 all into corner space, (SK 3 STS and HDC3 in between the next 2 stitches on previous round, *HDC3, CH2, HDC3 all in the next corner space*) repeat () 3 times, SK 3 STS and HDC3 in between the next 2 stitches on previous round, SL ST into top of CH2.
Join new colour in any corner CH2 stitch.
CH2, HDC2, CH2, HDC3 all into corner space, (HDC3 into each of the next 2 gaps between HDC3 clusters, HDC3, CH2, HDC3 all in the next corner space*) 3 times, HDC3 into each of the next 2 gaps between HDC3 clusters, SL ST into top of CH2.
Join new colour in any corner CH2 stitch.
CH2, HDC5 all into corner ST, {(SK ST, SL ST into the 2nd HDC from cluster, HDC4 into the next gap between clusters) repeat () until corner stitch, HDC6 into corner stitch} repeat {} around, SL ST into top of CH2 to join.
FO.
Using sticky back velcro, attach to switch.
