Free Heart Coasters Crochet Pattern With Written and Video Instructions.
These crochet hearts can be used for so much more than cup coasters, you could even make bunting from them. The can be made in any colour you want and with any yarn that you want (just make sure you use the appropriate hook size for the yarn).
This pattern is perfect for the beginner crocheter!
-MATERIALS -
· Cotton DK yarn in colour of choice
· 4mm crochet hook
· Embroidery needle
· Scissors

· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)

· SP ST – Spike stitch
· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn

1. CH2, 3SC into the 2nd CH from hook, CH1, T {3}
2. SC across, CH1, T {3}
3. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC1, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {5}
4. SC across, CH1, T {5}
5. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC3, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {7}
6. SC across, CH1, T {7}
7. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC5, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {9}
8. SC across, CH1, T {9}

Re-join yarn at opposite side of row 19, CH1
Repeat rows 19 – 24 to make second heart lobe.
Edging:
Re-join a different coloured yarn in the centre stitch between the two heart lobes, SC around the entire heart doing 2SC every now and then around the lobes to help turn. At the bottom of the heart do 3SC into the same stitch to allow you to turn your work.
