These plants are perfect little house hold accessories. Top tip - add a bit of essential oil to the stuffing to give your room extra fragrance.

-MATERIALS-
DK yarn in chosen colours
4mm crochet hook
Embroidery needle and scissors
Toy Stuffing
-ABBREVIATIONS-
Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)
CH – Chain
ST – Stitch
SL ST – Slip stitch
SK ST – Skip stitch
SC – Single crochet
HDC – Half double crochet
DC – Double crochet
SC2TOG – Single crochet two together
TRC - Treble Crochet
JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn
FO- Fasten off
FLO – Front loops only
BLO – Back loops only
T – Turn

-CONSTRUCTION NOTES-
Numbers written inside {} state the number of stitches at the end of round.
All instructions inside ** are to be made into same space.
All instructions inside () are to be repeated number of times stated afterwards.
Pattern is written using US Crochet terminology.
CH2 counts as HDC through out pattern.
Make between 6-7 vines for your basket.
Add flowers anywhere you like on your vines.
-SPECIAL STITCH-
DC5TOG - Double crochet 5 stitches together:
Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two stitches, yarn over insert hook into same stitch, yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two stitches, yarn over insert hook into same stitch, yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two stitches, yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two stitches, yarn over insert hook into same stitch, yarn over pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two stitches, you will now have 6 loops on your look, yarn over and pull through all loops.
-METHOD-
Basket – make with any colour yarn.
CH4, SL ST into the first chain to form a loop, CH2, 11HDC into loop, SL ST into top of CH2 to join {12}
CH2, HDC into the same ST as CH2, 2HDC into every ST around, Sl ST into top of CH2 to join {24}
CH2, 2HDC into the next ST, (1HDC, 2HDCC into the next ST) 11 times {36}
4-7. CH2, HDC around, SL ST into top of CH2 to join {36} - 4 rounds.
8. IN FLO SC around {36}
Join and FO.
Make the baskets straps by CH28 3 times around the lid of the basket. Tie in a knot at the top to secure.
Pearl Vine -
CH3, into the 3rd CH from hook DC5TOG, (CH9, into the 3rd CH from hook DC5TOG) repeat between 6 and 7 times to create your vine.
FO leaving a long tail.
Leaf Vine -
CH7, (into the 3rd CH from hook 1DC into the next ST, 2TRC into the next ST, 2DC into the next ST, 1HDC into the next ST, SC1 into the last ST, CH2, working down opposite side of the foundation row, SC1, HDC1, 2DC into the next ST, 2TRC into the next ST, 1DC into the next ST, CH2,, SL ST into base of leaf, CH11) repeat () to make as many leaves as you want for your vine.
FO leaving a long tail.
Flower -
CH5, into the 2nd CH from hook and all other chains, 3SC into every CH across.
FO leaving a long tail for sewing.
Allow the bud to naturally curl and sew into shape.
Sew flowers onto any of the vines anywhere you like.
Soil – make with brown yarn.
CH4, SL ST into the first chain to form a loop, CH2, 11HDC into loop, SL ST into top of CH2 to join {12}
CH2, HDC into the same ST as CH2, 2HDC into every ST around, Sl ST into top of CH2 to join {24}
CH2, 2HDC into the next ST, (1HDC, 2HDCC into the next ST) 11 times {36}
FO leaving a long tail for sewing.
Pass the ends of the vines through the centre of the soil and tie a knot to secure.
Attach soil into the basket by sewing the last stitch of the soil into the back loop left from round 8 of basket.
