DK yarn

 4mm crochet hook

 Embroidery needle

 Scissors

8mm safety eyes

-ABBREVIATIONS-

Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)

CH – Chain

ST – Stitch

SL ST – Slip stitch

SK ST – Skip stitch

SC – Single crochet

DC – Double crochet

JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn

FLO - Front loop only

BLO - Back loop only

FO- Fasten off

T – Turn

Numbers written inside {} state the number of stitches at the end of round.

All instructions inside ** are to be made into same space.

-METHOD-

Ghost - make with white yarn.

Insert safety eyes between rows 11 and 12 of ghost, 5 stitches apart from one another.

1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}

2. 2SC into every ST around {12}

3. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}

4. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {24}

5. (SC4, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {30}

6. (SC5, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {36}.

7-16. SC around {36} - 10 rounds

17. IN BLO (SC4, SC2TOG) 6 times {30}

18. (SC3, SC2TOG) 6 times {24}

19. (SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}

20.  (SC1, SC2TOG) 6 times {12}

21. (SC2TOG) 6 times {6}

Join and FO.

Stuff ghost.

Sew hole closed.

Re-join yarn in the front loops left exposed from round 17.

22. 2SC into every ST around {72}

23. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 36 times {108}

Join and FO.

String - make with white yarn.

1. CH20 leaving a long starting and ending tail.

FO.

Use tails to sew chain into the top of ghost.

Hat - Make with black yarn.

1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}

2. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {9}

3. SC around {9}

4. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {12}

5. SC around {12}

6. IN FLO 2SC into every ST {24}
