Granny Square Shoulder Bag Free Crochet Pattern | Easy Crochet Bag
Updated: Sep 28
Create your own colourful crochet accessory with this Granny Square Bag Crochet Pattern!

Made using classic granny squares and DK yarn, this cute shoulder bag is fun to crochet, easy to customise and perfect for experimenting with different colour combinations. Choose bright retro shades, pretty pastels, neutrals or use up leftover yarn from your stash to create a bag that’s completely unique to you.
The long strap can be worn over the shoulder, and I love making it extra long so it can be knotted at the shoulder for a relaxed handmade look.

-PATTERN NOTES-
· You may change colour at any time. I would recommend always applying the new colour at the beginning of a round in a CH2 corner space.
· Instead of CH3 / CH2 at the beginning of rounds, I recommend doing a ‘stacked DC’ to avoid leaving a gap.
· CH3 counts as DC.
· There are no SC between clusters, this is to keep the gaps tight.
· Block / steam bag segments before joining.
· Completed bag measures 10” x 10” with a 50” strap.
-METHOD-
Bag Segments – make two with chosen colours.
