Create your own unique crochet doll with this fun and customisable Dress Up Doll Crochet Pattern!
This adorable amigurumi doll is designed for dressing up and imaginative play. Choose your doll’s skin tone, hair colour and outfit colours to create a character that’s completely your own.
With 3 different hairstyle options and 3 interchangeable outfits, there are lots of possibilities for mixing, matching and creating different looks.
-MATERIALS-
· DK yarn in
· 3.5mm crochet hook
· Embroidery needle and scissors
· Toy stuffing
· 8mm safety eyes
· Black embroidery floss
-ABBREVIATIONS-
· Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)
· CH – Chain
· ST – Stitch
· SL ST – Slip stitch
· SK ST – Skip stitch
· SC – Single crochet
· HDC – Half double crochet
· DC – Double crochet
· SC2TOG – Single crochet two together
· JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn
· FO- Fasten off
· FLO – Front loops only
· BLO – Back loops only
· T – Turn
-CONSTRUCTION NOTES-
- Do not join the yarn at the end of rounds unless stated to do so, just keep going in a spiral (if you struggle with the stitch count use a stitch marker at the beginning of rounds.)
- Numbers written inside {} state the number of stitches at the end of round.
- Pattern written inside () should be repeated the number of times stated.
- Always pin your work into place before you sew together.
- Pattern is written using US Crochet terminology.
-PATTERN NOTES-
· To dress the dolls in their dresses and tops, place the feet through the neck opening and pull the clothes item up. Don’t be gentle pushing the doll into their clothes.
· Hook stitch – Insert your hook into stitch, pull the middle of a piece of yarn through about 2cm, pass the tails of the yarn through the loop you have created and pull tight.
· Stuff dolls as you go.
-DOLL-
Feet, Legs, Body, and Head – make with skin coloured yarn.
Note – made feet up.
Insert 8mm safety eyes between rows 54 and 55, 6 stitches apart.
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from the hook {6}
2. 2SC into every ST around {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}
4-7. SC around {18} – 4 rounds.
8. SC5, (SC2TOG) 4 times, SC5 {14}
9. SC5, (SC2TOG) 2 times, SC5 {12}
10-21. SC around {12} – 12 rounds.
Change to white yarn.
22-23. SC around – 2 rounds.
Join and FO
Repeat rows 1 – 23 to make second leg, do not fasten off. With foot facing away from you crochet to the left-hand side of leg (about 3SC), CH1 and SL ST into the right side of the first leg you made. This is to join the two legs; we will now continue to crochet around both legs and the CH1 to make the body.
Continuing from the SL ST in the 2nd leg….
24. SC11 (around the leg not including the stitch you SL ST into) SC1 into the chain you made, SC11 (around second leg not including the stitch you CH1 from, SC1 into the opposite side of the chain space you made. {24}
25. (SC7, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {27}
26. SC around {27}

Change to skin coloured yarn.
29-31. SC around {30} – 3 rounds.

Join and FO.
With yarn tail pick up the front loop only of the remaining 12 stitches in order, then pull tight to close hole.
With black embroidery floss sew eye lashes near the safety eyes.
With pink or red yarn sew mouth into place.
With skin coloured yarn sew nose onto face by sewing over the same 2 stitches multiple times.
Arms – make 2 with skin coloured yarn.
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}
2. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {9}
3-19. SC around {9} – 17 rounds.
Join and FO.
Pin and sew to either side of the doll.

15. (CH21, from the 2nd CH from hook 2SC into the next 20 STS, SL ST along twice at base) repeat until you have 11 curls.

Join and FO.
Plaits Hair – make with chosen colour.
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from the hook {6}
2. 2SC into every ST around {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}
4. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {24}
5. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {30}
6. (SC4, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {36}

Join and FO.
Cut 20, 12” pieces of yarn.
Into the 5 stitches either side of fringe hook stitch 2 pieces of yarn into each st, this will give you 10 pieces either side of head to make the plaits.
Plait these strands and tie a piece of yarn around the bottom of the plaits to keep secure.

Pink Dress – make with pink yarn.
1. CH25, from the 2nd CH from hook SC24, CH1, T {24}
2. 2SC into every ST across, CH1, T {48}
3. SC across, CH1, T {48}
4. (SC7, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {54}
You will now begin to work in rounds, you will no longer turn at the end of each row. Beginning in the first stich at the opposite side of your work.
5. SC8, SK 12 STS, SC14, SK 12 STS, SC8 {30} – skipped stitches make arm holes.
6-7. SC around {30} – 2 rounds.
8. (SC9, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {33}
9-10. SC around {33} – 2 rounds
11. (SC10, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {36}
12-21. SC around {36} – 10 rounds.
Join and FO.
Top – make with purple yarn.

5. IN BLO SC around {24}
6-8. SC around {24} – 3 rounds.

Join and FO.
Skirt – make with pink yarn.
1. CH30, SL ST into the first chain to form a loop,
2. CH1, SC around {30}
3. (SC9, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {33}
4-5. SC around {33} – 2 rounds.
6. (SC10, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {36}
7-12. SC around {36} – 6 rounds.
Join and FO.
Bows – make chosen colours.
1. CH13, SL ST into the first chain to form a loop,
2. CH1, SC around {13}
3. SC around {13}
Join and FO.
With yarn tail wrap it multiple times around the centre of the loop to form the bow, tie to secure.
Bag – make in yellow yarn.
1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from the hook {6}
2. 2SC into every ST around {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}
4-8. SC around {18} – 5 rounds
9. SL ST, CH34, SL ST into the opposite side of the bag to form the handle.
Flower Headband – make in chosen colour.
1. CH4, SL ST into the 1st CH to form a small loop, into loop (SL ST, DC) 4 times, CH40, SL ST into the opposite side of flower to form headband.
Scarf – make with chosen colour.
1. CH71, from the 2nd CH from hook SC70.
FO.
Wrap around neck.
Green Dress – make with green yarn.
1. CH30, SL ST into the first chain to form a loop,
2. CH1, SC around {30}
3-14. SC around {30} – 12 rounds.
Front of dress.
15-21. SC10, CH1, T – 7 rows.
22-25. SC2, CH1, T {2} – 4 rows
Join and FO.
Re-join yarn at the opposite side of row 21. Repeat rows 22-25 to make 2nd strap.
Join and FO.
SK 5 STS from row 14 and reattach yarn.
Repeat rows 15-21 to make back of dress.
Sew straps to made from rows 22-25 to the back of dress.
Cardigan – make with blue yarn.
1. CH19, from the 2nd CH from hook (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times, CH1, T {24}
2. SC across, CH1, T {24}
3. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC22, 2SC into the last ST, CH1, T {26}
4. 2SC into the 1st ST, SC3, SK 5 STS, CH5, SC8, SK 5 STS, CH5, SC3, 2C into the last ST, CH1, T {28} – gaps will make sleeves later.
5-14. SC across, CH1, T {28} – 10 rows.
15. SC around entire piece doing 3SC in corners to help turn.
Re-join yarn in one of the gaps made from row 4.
16. SC12 around gap {12}
17-34. SC around {12} – 14 rounds
Join and FO.
Repeat rows 16-34 in 2nd opening to make the 2nd sleeve.
