-MATERIALS-

• DK / 8-ply yarn

• Small amount of pink yarn

• DK yarn in your chosen cat colour

• 3.5 mm crochet hook

• Yarn or embroidery needle

• Scissors


-ABBREVIATIONS-

Magic Loop (I chain two and crochet into first loop to create ring)

CH – Chain

ST – Stitch

SL ST – Slip stitch

SK ST – Skip stitch

SC – Single crochet

HDC – Half double crochet

DC – Double crochet

SC2TOG – Single crochet two together

JOIN and FO – SL ST into next ST, chain one, cut yarn

FO- Fasten off

T – Turn

 -CONSTRUCTION NOTES- 

Numbers written inside {} state the number of stitches at the end of round.

All instructions inside ** are to be made into same space.

Pattern is written using US Crochet terminology.


-METHOD-


Coasters - begin with pink yarn.

  1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook {6}

Change to the colour of your cat

2. 2SC into every ST around {12}

3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}

4. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {24}

5. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {30}

6. (SC4, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {36}

7. (SC5, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {42}

8. SC10, CH5, into the 3rd CH from hook HDC1, HDC into each of the next 2 chains, from the next ST on row 7, SC16, CH12, from the 2nd CH from hook SC2, SC the next 4 chains together, SC in the remaining 5 chains, from the next ST on row 7, SC16, CH5, into the 3rd CH from hook HDC1, HDC into each of the next 2 chains, SL ST to join.
