Basic Rattle – make with appropriate colour.
1. CH2, 6SC into 2nd CH from hook {6}
2. 2SC into every ST around {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {18}
4. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {24}
5. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {30}
6-11. SC around {30}
12. (SC3, SC2TOG) 6 times {24}
13-14. SC around {24}
15. (SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}
16-35. SC around {18}
Stuff the top of the rattle and insert the rattle piece.
36. (SC2, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {24}
37. (SC3, 2SC into the next ST) 6 times {30}
38-39. SC around {30}
40. (SC3, SC2TOG) 6 times {24}
41. (SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}
Stuff rattle firmly.

Join and FO.
With tail close hole by picking up the front loops only of the remaining 12 stitches in order, then pull tight to close.
-FROG-
FROG: make basic rattle pattern all in green.
Eyes – make 2 begin with green yarn.
1. CH2, 6SC into 2nd CH from hook {6}
2. 2SC into every ST around {12}
3-5. SC around {12}
Join and FO.
Stuff and sew onto the top of the frog’s head.
Centre of eyes – make with white yarn.
1. CH2, 6SC into 2nd CH from hook {6}
Join and FO.
Sew onto the centre of green eyes parts.
With black yarn sew pupils onto eyes.
With black yarn sew on frogs’ mouth and nose.
Bow – make with red yarn.
1. CH20, SL ST into the 1st chain to join into a loop, CH1, SC around {20}
2. SC around {20}
Join and FO.
Press the bow flat and wrap a strand of yarn around the centre of the piece to form the bow. Tie in the back to secure.
Sew bow onto the frog’s neck.
-ELEPHANT-
ELEPHANT: make basic rattle pattern rows 1-13 in blue, rows, 14-20 in grey, 21-27 in blue, 28-34 in grey and rows 35 to finish in blue.
Ears – make 2 with grey yarn.
1. CH2, 5SC into 2nd CH from hook, CH1, T {5}
2. 2SC into every ST across, CH1, T {10}
3. (SC1, SC2TOG) 5 times, CH1, T {15}
